Programming & Periodisation is designed for lifters who want more than a generic template, but do not require the full coaching support of Impulse Powerlifting Coaching. The aim is to provide a structured, evidence-informed and individualised training process that gives you clear direction while still allowing you to manage your own training environment independently.
Training is planned and adjusted around your individual goals, competition timeline, training history, technical needs, recovery capacity, lifestyle and available training resources. This allows the programme to remain specific and progressive, while still being realistic within the context of your life.
This service is built around the principle that effective programming is not simply about increasing volume, intensity or complexity. It is about making better training decisions over time. Your programme is designed to support long-term consistency, manage fatigue, develop the competition lifts and provide a clear structure for progression.
While Programming & Periodisation does not include the full weekly coaching process, competition-day support, or the complete communication structure of Impulse Powerlifting Coaching, the programme is still adjusted based on your training feedback and performance trends. This ensures that training remains responsive without becoming overly complicated.
As always: long-term consistency beats short-term intensity.
All Programming & Periodisation athletes receive a structured training plan for the squat, bench press and deadlift, including exercise selection, volume and intensity progression, load management and periodisation across the training cycle. Where appropriate, velocity-based training data can also be integrated if you already have access to a compatible velocity tracking system.
This service is best suited to ambitious lifters who are confident training independently, understand how to provide useful feedback, and want professional programming without the full support structure of ongoing coaching.

Individualised online programming, periodisation planning, regular programme adjustments, exercise selection, load and volume management, competition block planning where appropriate, integration of training feedback and performance trends, and structured development of the squat, bench press and deadlift.
Not included:
Weekly coaching check-ins, full technical feedback process, OVR Performance Velocity Unit loan, Powerlifting Performance Analysis, meet-day guidance, post-competition review and ongoing reflective coaching support.
